christian counseling

I welcome all clients, regardless of their beliefs. I enjoy getting to know my clients’ personal worldview, and am honored to approach therapy with my client’s unique perspective and beliefs in mind.

It is not necessary for my clients to identify as Christians in order to begin therapy, AND a large part of what led me to become a therapist is ultimately rooted in my own faith background. It gives me so much joy and energy when I get to work with clients seeking to incorporate their Christian faith into the process of therapy. I just light up!

If you’ve been looking for a way to pair mental health care with soul care, there are many great ways we can do that! This might look like:

  • praying to open/close sessions

  • praying as needed

  • seeing what the Bible has to say about an issue you’re facing

  • processing church hurt/religious trauma

  • looking at your Spiritual Pathways (i.e. the unique way you like to connect with God)

  • using faith based resources in sessions & homework

  • knowing you can talk with someone who “gets it” and understands Biblical concepts, references, and “Christianese” language

Where can I go from your spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there.

If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.

I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night

but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.

PSALM 139
